I too, was sceptical of the looks of the California. My original thought was a Maserati that has been spruced up.

I saw the Califonia in person last night at Ferrari of Central Florida. Car looks fantastic.

Thought the California would resemble a Mercedes SL500; but it doesn't.

The first thing I noticed was that the car maintains a much lower profile than pictures show. And wider. The seating position is very low. The rear is high above you when you sit in the drivers seat.

The controversial rear styling isn't that bad in person. Reminds me of a 456.

Not a 430, but a really good looking car in person. With the 430 challenge wheels it would looks fantastic.

See the car in person before you make any judgements.

I saw, rode, drove and was CONQUERED, by the California last night at Ferrari of Central Florida.

It is a Ferrari my wife can drive ( when she could pry me from behind steering wheel ).

It is more civilized, but with a turn of a knob and press of a button - it's gene pool came to the surface.
