Any recommendations regarding the best approach to upgrading the stereo on a 2013 Cali I bought that came with the base factory stereo (6 speakers)?

I know, I know - - Driving one of these is supposed to be more about the sound of the engine, but my wife and kids will be complaining about the stereo.

Wondering if it would be sufficient to install an amp and replace the 6 speakers with higher quality speakers. We are not an audiophiles, but still like the stereo to sound good.

    Any recommendations?

    This is what I did:
    a. Audison Voce AV K6 6.5” components, front
    b. JL Audio 8” subwoofer
    c. Audison Bit One Signal Interface Processor
    d. Alpine PDX-F4 100wx4 amp

The amp and other added electronics, however, nestle in the rear of the trunk (towards the front of the car), so there's no pass-through to the passenger compartment. The speakers fit behind the stock grilles so you can't tell anything's been modified. Everything is easily removed later to return it to stock. Where are you located? If anywhere near the SF Bay Area I highly recommend the installer, Custom Mobile Electronics, in San Rafael.

How much did it cost to do what you did? I'm assuming it's a huge improvement - correct?
