Figured out how to remove the Lower outer shell. I still need to remove the mirror and upper shell.

anyone know how to get the mirror off?

    Hey sherrillt,
To get the mirror and upper shell off, I would probably start by tilting the mirror glass to find and remove the clips or screws holding it. (You can use a plastic trim tool so you don't damage anything.) Disconnect any electrical connections for heating elements or indicators. Then look for screws or clips holding the upper shell. They're usually behind the mirror glass or underneath. Carefully pry off the upper shell, and check for any hidden fasteners under trim pieces or rubber gaskets. Since you've already got the lower outer shell off, that should probably be enough to get the job done, but if you're stuck, maybe check the service manual for more details.
I hope that works out for you.

The instructions are ambiguous to me. I have pressed on the corners and the glass does not just "pop out" and I do not want to apply too much force risk breaking the glass, which can be $50 (r) -$300 (l) a side. Do I just need to press really hard?
