When my father was stationed with the Navy in Key West back in 1970-71 he told me he had the chance to look at a California that came up for sale. I don't know much more than the car originally belonged to a doctor in Miami, and was silver...possibly resprayed. The car also had a shade tree overhaul, and apparently smoked quite a bit. My father has always been quite the gearhead, but is not as versed in F cars as he is in others, so there is a margin for
error, but I wanted to see if any F-chatters know of a car fitting this description from the location and time period. I heard this story more than a few times during my youth, and it would be kind of cool if there was any further information that I could share with him now that he's getting on in years.

Thanks, Terra. Now I've got somewhere to start.
