    Hello everyone,

Starting to look for a Cal30, but just realizing that it may take a while to find one that checks all the boxes. I know prices increased over the past year, but any ideas on the trend for the next 6-12 months? Are prices still rising? Leveling off? Falling? Maybe the prices for exotic cars overall provides a clue.

    Thanks.

I think they'll stay stagnant, I know everyone is anticipating a crash but it really doesn't make any sense, a correction sure as things went way too high but prices will never come back to what they were simply because of extreme inflation and all the cash dumped into the economy. The situation is not like before, people have money it's not debt, the people suffering were never going to be in the Ferrari market anyway.

I think your point about inflation is a good one. I think we may be looking at a new baseline (unless, perhaps, the economy suffers a "hard landing" which, of course, is impossible to predict).

Hard to say - perhaps some appraisal experts will weigh in. I feel the Cali - all models - have bottomed out and are-on-the-rise given the price of new Ferraris & other exotics.

If you're asking me, and this is what I'm thinking as I'm looking for a 458, I think prices will be lowest during this winter because there will be a lot of doom and gloom in the news and then they will begin to rise again.....or at the least this winter will be the bottom.

    But again who knows....

Just started looking too, seems there is a wide range of prices right now. We are sticking to certified Cal30's and those prices seem to have a tight price grouping (with the expected higher than the smaller dealer and private sales markup). Good luck with your search.

I have noticed plenty of Californias sitting on dealer lots unsold. It seems the ones that are actually selling are those that are more realistically priced. For example, one non-Ferrari dealer has a 2013 California with 19,000 miles and essentially no options priced at $130,000. It has been sitting for months.

Yup, probably has sticky buttons too, that's gonna be there for awhile, sounds like an $80k car on BaT.

Nobody knows the answer. If you have the means, pick one you like, buy and enjoy it. give you an example, back in 2018, everyone was saying the watch market has gone mad and it did, but it just kept going and going. And yes, the watch market eventually crashed, but the price is still much much higher than 2018.
