I hope this is an appropriate question for this forum, but what discount if any can you expect in the US on a Cali that is at a dealer vs a customer order car?

I did some research a few months back and continued to monitor replies to a question I posted. result:

The 2011 models generally were sold at MSRP, not more not less. In very rare occasions (mine for example) a small 2% discount could be gotten, and/or something for free (e.g. free clear bra)

The 2012 models I have not heard of any discount. They are quite popular due to the 7 year service plan.

Thanks for the input. I am looking at a very heavily optioned car so I am hoping there will be room in price.

I am wondering. Did you pay MSRP because they wouldn't go any lower or told you it was MSRP or did you not ask. I have never bought a Ferrari more than enough Porsche etc. I always like to deal but don't want to offend Ferrari dealer when I bite the F car bullet soon.

    Thanks Gj

We just spec'd out a Cali last week (estimated delivery is December). We asked about pricing and were told MSRP.

Price went up about $7k over the 2011, but it does include the 7 year maintenance plan.

From what little experience I have of Ferrari dealers (my first ever F ordered) - its MRP but you may be able to get them to do other stuff for you:

    Anti stone chip film
    Supagard/Lifeshine
Initial Detailing - paintwork on Ferrari because its hand painted when out of factory is less than perfect
    GAP insurance at a discount
    Carpets
Other minor bits like the special key rings etc and other Ferrari memorabilia...

I didn't ask. I thought I was fortunate to get the allocation anyway. I did get probably $1,000 in goodies, a Ferrari key fob that was quite expensive and a custom made suit so I was a happy camper.

    Rick,

Curious why you traded in your 2010 for a 2012.

The plan was to drive it and buy additional warranty until the M version comes out. But with 28,000 miles already I found that Ferrari does not sell warranty after 50,000 miles, and I like warranty so I decided to upgrade. I already have had 2 inquires on the car.
