I recently purchased a 2013 California 30 HS from a gentleman on this forum. Love the car but it has an odd quirk. When I pull the key from the ignition I get a mild electric shock. It’s nothing I can’t live with until my next service, I just hope it’s not indicative of a bigger problem. Anyone have any insight? Thanks.

Is it a tingling shock that lasts a few seconds or a sharp single shock? If it’s a sharp single shock then it could be static built up on your clothes, possibly from the seatbelt rubbing on your clothes, or just the clothes themselves.

If it is more of a tingling shock that would indicate something from the car that would need investigation.

It’s a little tingle for a few seconds. It doesn’t happen every single time though so maybe it is static. Thanks.
