    I live in CA and I'm considering buying a Florida 328 GTS. Does anyone have experience with out of state Ferraris smog testing or getting passed for the emissions test and getting registered? What can I check before I make an offer on the car to see if smog will be a problem once I get the car to CA? Thanks for the guidance.

    Make sure it has 50 states emission and all the emission equipment is on and functioning as should be. Florida I believe does not have smog testing like we do
    If not $$$$$ to fix

    328 will easily pass smog if it has cat converter. But, bringing an out of state car into California and YOU are responsible for the car passing smog at whatever costs or you do not get to register it. Like Tim said, there is one for sale right here in California.

    For what it is worth, I bought a Classische Certified 328 GTS from an East Coast F-dealer a few years back and had no problems passing CA smog. If it is complete and in good running order I don't think you should have a problem.

    SoCal, yelcab and FBB- thanks for the plugs. They have all seen that car as well as thousands of others from the local Concorsos and other events.

    Strviper - I have a '86 328 GTS here in Southern California for sale. It won a platinum at Ferrari Concorso this year and scored in the gold range in 2015. It is an original California can and has basically all service records since new. If you have interest, please let me know and I can send you photos or what ever you like. Or, depending on where you are, you can come take a look and drive.
