    Hello Everyone,

I have a 2016 CA T 9800 miles with the Apple Car Play Entertainment System and I have been having some strange issues. It works normally but sometimes just does not turn on. And no matter what I do I can't get it to. It doesn't react to the the on off button being pushed for a second or 30-60 seconds. Turning the car off and then back on works sometimes...maybe 25% of the time it will come back up. When it won't come on the reverse cam and all the other cameras work fine so doesn't seem to be screen issue.

For example yesterday it would not come on..tried everything I could think of. Finally gave up drove the car for 20 minutes sans entertainment... stopped the car for about 30 minutes while I went into the store and came back out...started the car and boom it came on. So weird. Seems to make no sense.

Anyone else experienced similar issues or know of a possible cause?

    Thanks!

    John

Before you turn the car off, close any carplay apps open on your phone (waze, youtube music whatever), exit carplay with the Ferrari horse icon, and tune a radio station. Hold the power button to turn off the radio. Wait a few seconds and then unplug your phone.

These series of steps seem to help reduce issues when I jump back into the car < 20 minutes after exiting. Often times I would get back in the car, plug my phone in and it can't connect/find my phone...frustrating. Of course my experience when the car sits overnight, I have never have issues with carplay connecting/finding my phone.

If you find a a reliable solution let me know, carplay has never been 100% reliable for me (2015 T)

For what its worth my Cali T and my BMW M50 are about the same for AppleCar Play, most of time it works but sometimes either car doesn't or it takes 5 mins to spin up... not entirely sure its the car probably the iPhone

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm not sure it even has anything to do with Carplay. At first I thought it did and there were times when it seemed to cause the issue with the system not booting up. Like it needed to reset itself or something after using carplay. I'm just wondering why the system does not boot at all sometimes. The screen just stays totally blank and only just comes back up randomly usually after restarting the car (although not every time) and works fine. It could be caused by carplay..it's just hard to tell.

Tried different cables? Or cable instead of Bluetooth?
