I performed a bit of reverse engineering to determine the Pin Out for the NIT in the Ferrari California. Mine has the Apple CarPlay option and there is little to no information available online. However the Pin Out is the same for non-car play NITS, because it is standard from Harmon Becker who manufactures the Infotainment system for Ferrari.

To know if this is what you have, you simply look at the connector on the NIT. It should look like the image below:

    Great post. Thanks for sharing.

As a side question: For a winter project, I’m thinking of pulling the head unit on my Cali-T and cloning the hard disk. I’ve read that the main failure is the hard drive? The idea would be that if the hard disk fails I have a backup.

Do you think it’s possible? Anybody done this before?

I am not so sure that Cali T's have a hard drive. My system consists of a NIT and a display, 2 separate units. The regular Cali's had the head units with the hard drives in them. So depends on your year. You can give a ferrari dealer your vin number and they should be able to pull up exactly what head unit your car has.

If it does have a hard drive, I would recommend removing the drive, and copying it's contents to a solid state drive, and then placing the Solid State drive in the NIT. There are tons of tube videos on that.
