I've got a 2010 California that seems to have run out of battery. I wanted to hook it up to the CTEK charger but can't open the trunk. I've tried to manually by inserting the key next to the license plate and it won't even turn. I've tried manually unlocking the doors to see it that helps but it doesn't. Any idea how to get the trunk open? And is plugging in the conditioner of any use?

Gave it an extra hard turn and got it to open. Hopefully this helps someone having this problem in the future

They say pressing down on the trunk helps to alleviate the stress on the lock so you can turn the key...

You’ll need to charge the battery, I don’t think the tender alone will bring it back. Don’t know why they made that lock cylinder so hard to turn but it is like that on all of them.

This. When it's really stubborn, it's best done as a two person job given the inconvenient location of the key hole and the smallness of the Ferrari key. Have one person push down in the trunk lid. The other can torque the key.
