I couldn't really keep a WIP post of this because it was a surprise gift for Stackhouse. For those of you who don't know, he was recently engaged, but he also busted his butt to make Saturday a memorable day for several hundred people. This was built as a gift to him for his engagement and hard work this past weekend at the Ferrari Challenge/FXX/599XX at Miller Motorsports Park.

The first pics are the primer'd body ready for paint. The following (dullish) pictures are the first paint job, which I tried very hard and finally matched the color I wanted. After clearcoating, the colors separated and ran. I was already in somewhat of a hurry on this one, and wasn't sure I would make it in time after this. I managed to sand it down, reprimer, and use a Tamiya rattle can (gun metal) for the exterior. I think it turned out ok.

The rest of the shots are of the interior, undercarriage, exhaust, and reflections. There are a few minor errors I wish I could have fixed in time, and wish I could have done more engine detail. I ended up finishing the model at 3am on the morning before giving it to him. :)

The model was subsequently displayed in the VIP Suite at MMP. I feel privileged that it was displayed in the same room with the works of Stanley Wanlass and other artists. :D My work is nothing compared to the incredible work shown there. Anyway, on to the pictures. Thanks again Stackhouse, it truly was one of the best weekends my wife and I have ever had.

    Thank you guys very much!

Todd, it's a 1:24 scale by Revell. Surprisingly good kit from them!
