    It seems the 348 came with three different colors of calipers — black, red, and yellow. Was this an option when you ordered your car or was it chosen by the factory for you?

    Humm, I was just going by what I see on eBay and other used parts sites. Maybe they were painted by the dealer or some owner along the way. There are a significant number that are colored out there tho.

    If you do paint them after painting the main body and allowing a day or so for the paint to harden mask the main body off with tape (or better still use PVA mold release) then cover the script and ever so gently sand away the tape or pva.

    You can then just spray them silver and once dry remove the tape/pva - much better than just sanding off the original paint (script will rust) or trying to hand paint the script.
