Check it out guys, if youve ever had to change pads or work on multi piston calipers, you will want to see this! No more pliers and screwdrivers!

Girodisc Announce the Caliper Piston Spreader Tool for 4 and 6 Piston Calipers

Costa Mesa, CA – April 19, 2005 – Girodisc announces its Caliper piston Spreader.

This indispensable tool is designed for use by race teams and enthusiasts alike who have high performance 4 and 6 or 8 piston calipers. The spreader is designed to spread the pads - and then the pistons in 4 and 6 piston calipers to facilitate quick replacement of pads and rotors in a shop or racing environment.

No more screwdrivers, pliers, or hammers. This tool will retract the pistons evenly and all the way back into the bores with one squeeze of the levers.

The Spreader was designed around the popular Porsche 4 piston and GT2/3 6 piston calipers as well as most 4 piston Brembo, AP, Alcon, and other performance calipers in racing and road use. To help fit in any caliper, the amount of throw is adjustable through three settings of the outside plate.

Insert the spreading plates one way for wider 6 or 8 piston calipers, and then turn the unit 90 degrees and use the plate sides for 4 piston calipers. One corner will angle into 2 piston opposed calipers also.

The tool is made from steel and is powder coated for durability. The slider is cadmium plated. The pivot bushings are all made from nylon and will ensure smooth action.

This tool will quickly become invaluable to any team, shop, or enthusiast who changes pads and rotors with any frequency.
