Wonder if all you 348 TB / TS owners help?
I am having my car panted at the moment and i cannot remember what the paint finish is like in the area just behind the rear glass where the air intake hose fits onto.
I have attached some photos of another guys 348 and photos of mine prior to painting. The place that is doing the work says that this area is not finished to well from the factory?
Can someone confirm by photos or go and have a look at your own cars to confirm this please.
    Thanks In advance

My ts happens to be black so it was hard to tell so I put a flourescent shop lamp into that area and it is a mat black paint. The picture you provided with the circled area is consistent with mine. To be really safe you may want to wait for another opinion from a car owner with a sharp contrast color

    Paul,

It would be finished in Matt / Satin Black in that area.

I have a black tb and it is like the picture above. It's matt black like the first picture. The matt extends all the way forward under the window.

My ts is body color (white) in that area, but I don't believe that is correct. I believe mine has been repainted.

Yes it is, I was going to ask the question on the 348 online car show thread but thought i woul start a new one.

I know that it should be black but what is the Factory finish like IE nice like the outside of the car or rough like we will just put a bit of black paint on there to cover it up ? I am talking about the area that you would have to put a light in there to have a look.

    Thanks

I put some rubbing on a cloth and got a shining finish quite easily, which should mean it has been a nice shining finish from the beginning I assume.
