Hi all. long time viewer, first time poster. Just want to say i feel this is one of the best forums ever, everyone seems very friendly and helpful.

Just wanted to ask all the kiwi's living over the ditch if you all enjoy it and feel that it's worth moving over there. I just keep hearing that there is alot more opportunities to make money over there. Just dont feel that there's enough motivation over here anymore.

living in Wellington and thinkin bout possibly moving over to sydney.

Currently working as a real estate agent here and thinking about doing the same over there. Just basically Property investment.

hey anything to own a ferrari one day!

OOhhh thats a bit harsh moretti.

Guys, Australia is the land of opportunity. If you are prepared to work hard you will do well. I moved here in 1992, well actually got transferred with work, never looked back. Melbourne is similar to Wellington. Sydney is a bit of a rat race like Auckland, which is where I am origanlly from.

Kiwis and Aussies always do well overseas as we are prepared to put the time in.

Well I didn't get much choice in my move as I was 6 when we came over. But after heading back again recently, I saw nothing that would make me want to live there again. Nice place to holiday though.

My partner is also a kiwi and she has only been here a few years. She moved over with her mother when she finished school. Her plan was to spend a year here in the sun and then go back and get on with life. She went back for a couple of weeks, 8 months into being her and she realised there was nothing there for her really. She had a lot more opportunity here. She saw all the people she went to school with and saw that they weren't moving much. Seemed like they were stuck less then a year out of school. So she decided to stay.

My advice do it, don't piss around, we had one of my partners friends come over for 2 months over christmas during her uni holidays and her mum had to pretty much beg her to come back and finish uni. She did but has vowed to return once she is done.

cheers for the feedback guys. Yea i've heard that it can be a bit dog eat dog in Sydney. Well looks like it is set in stone, moving over next year. Australia really does feel like the land of opportunity right now..... I mean don't get me wrong, I love New Zealand but there just isnt enough reason's or opportunities available(well not in Wellington anyways, Maybe Auckland.....) to really stay here...
