I'm speccing my F12 and am undecided on the lifter. In real world UK driving, how often and on what occasions are you finding yourself using the lifter? Would you spec it again?
i don't know how low the front end is on the F12 cf others but I had it on both my 458 spider and FF , I haven't used it once. Would I spec it on a new car? depends on cost ,but I probably would for piece of mind>
I tried an F12 into my garage, which has a slope entrance, and, whilst it is lower than my 458 it managed fine. I really want a feel for how it copes with UK speed bumps, multi-stories etc. You're right about the peace of mind but I don't want another option I'll never use.
Got the lifter on my ff and it helps in underground car parks for sure where the incline is steep. Going in at the top and exiting would be a problem without it at some hotels.
I have an F12 in the UK without a lifter and unless I was aware of a particular regular obstacle I would regularly encounter, I would save the money
I use the lifter on my F12 regularly. I live in London and its handy for getting in and out of my underground car park, London speed bumps etc.... I don't take any risks, so just tend to use it all the time, but I am sure you can get away without it if you are extra careful....
I would go for it. Even if you use it once or twice it will pay for itself, [ rather than buying a new under tray] it will give you piece of mind and also help when it comes time to sell, it is an option I would want to have, judging by the number of times my 599 wheel wind deflectors scrape on speed bumps!
it's the only option i continue to kick myself for not getting on my FF!!! Don't have it on my F12; yet to encounter a single issue but i'm sure i will need it at some point.
