    does anyone know what the journal-cam to bearing cap clearance is on a 360?

    Probably in the neigborhood of .002". Why do you ask?

    I put variators on the ex cams and marked ALL of the caps. I didn't know that there is a normal way that a ferrari eng is put together (casting marks all going the same way) One of mine is not the same way and just wanted to plasigage it both ways to see if on is off. I figured about .002 but this is kind of a race engine and never done one before.

    I would be very surprised if they weren't all the same way originally.

    Me too, but I know the way I marked them. I was not paying attention to the casting marks at that time. The etched mark on the cap and head are backwards also. I have no idea if the engine has been worked on before. I hope that the plasigage will tell the story.
