I pulled the engine to do the 30K major service and found that the cam gears are in the wrong position on the 1-4 side. I don't know if the belt has ever been changed, the car has 27K miles. I am going to remove the cams and replace the seals, etc. so I will put them back the right way. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this and what types of problems could this cause.

It's early in the morning and I haven't had my coffee yet but it looks okay to me.

What did you say was wrong?

If you look at the diagram in the shop manual it shows the gears arranged differently. It must be that the drawing is just not accurate. If you look at the drawing the gears on the outside (exhaust cam) both do not have the teeth on the gears visible from the front. But I do see now that the part numbers are swapped on the left #36 is on top but on the right #35 is on top. Thanks.

In both cases, you want the pulley with the lip to be in the pulling position. This happens to be the driver's exhaust cam, and the passenger's intake cam.

As far as I can see we all need to be real careful when accepting anything in those Ferrari Workshop Manuals as gospel.

During my recent spell of diagnosing a rough running problem (still unsolved) I noticed the M2.7 wiring diagram is misleading in one area where it's showing a wire route dropping to ground where it should not and does not.

That diagram is from the parts catalogue. At least the workshop manual (page B55) shows them correctly.
