Hello all, Recent did another engine out and was coming back with a code. When looking at it, it pointed to the phase senor on to 1-4 side. When i pulled it out, the connector fall apart in my hand. This is apparently normal so i'm looking for replacement. The original part number is # 146312.It is discontinued and spare parts have dried up for the most part. That being said, i don't believe that Ferrari made this part. I'm sure that the sensor itself is not made by Ferrari. I have found a Bosch 9146108. The connector will fit but not sure about the sensor itself. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-camshaft-position-sensor-rear-of-exhaust-camshaft-0232101030?ads_cmpid=14308704881&ads_adid=126404518775&ads_matchtype=&ads_network=g&ads_creative=539621335898&utm_term=&ads_targetid=pla-293946777986&utm_campaign=&utm_source=adwords&utm_medium=ppc&ttv=2&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA29auBhBxEiwAnKcSqgxn2WgNIIJMxmTCevDjTJmwUd-Ew5mD6VZEBJUnKCD_Y7HtXOLLcRoC8skQAvD_BwE Does anybody have any experiences with swapping this sensor out?
Just get an electrician to reterminate the connector (or DIY). https://www.haltech.com/product/ht-030310-plug-and-pins-only-bosch-3-pin/
The 348 wiring guru, @m.stojanovic may be a little busy at the moment, but this is what I have for the 348 2.7 car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Can you see the colours of the wires on the car side of the plug? Or is the harness sealed? pin 1 pink/black goes to red wire pin 2 pink wire goes to green wire pin 3 black wire goes to black wire. Probaby best to confirm with a multimeter: You should be able to see 12 volts on the pink wire (with a voltmeter with the ignition turned on) and an earth (with an ohmmeter) on the black wire.
That's exactly what i need. The connect from Hall is a female, so i ordered on offline. Its a bosch EV1 3 pole connector. Thanks!!
As a temporary repair of my desintegrated Cam Sensor connector, I cut-off the connector from a used crank sensor and soldered it on. It worked very well and could have been a permanent solution but I later moved it to spares and installed a new one. Image Unavailable, Please Login
