    Ive a camshaft seal leaking!
My 3.2 Mondial doesn't need a belt service for at least another year. I doubt there is no other way to fix it, and while replacing the seals it would be stupid not to replace the belts etc...
Exactly what all do i need apart from the service kit. Mondial 3.2 Kit includes : Air Filter, Oil Filter, Fuel Filter, Cam Belts,Timing Belt Tensioner Bearings, Alternator Belt and Air Con Belt.
ie 0 ring seal kit and gaskets???

The 3.2 kit (at least ours does!) should include 4 x cam seals, 4 x cam-orings, and 2x distributor oil seals... in addition to a bunch of end plate gaskets, valve cover gaskets, etc.

the machanic that worked on my engine put just a dap of silcone at the corners,of the cam seal seems that when the covers go back on the gaskets don't make a tight seal, anyway weather its right or wrong I don't have any leaks,I have over 54k miles, just 1k miles since the major

Here's a picture of my 328. You can see the use of (red) silicone on the corners only (on the right side of the picture)
I did use a little bit on the left side, too, at the place were the gaskets meet at 90º
    5.000Km later, no leaks

As long as its not leaking on the timing belts, I would let it be until the next major service is due...7-10 years or 30k miles.

Thanks for the pic! I'm going to show it to my mechanic! It should be a great help in stopping it from leaking again...

Hey Frank! Its not leaking over the belts!
Since i noticed the leak i took the exhaust guard off and painted the garage floor, its made it v hard to live with!!!
I spoke to the garage 15 months after the service, and they said they would have stood over it for the 1st 12 months boo hoo!!!
He said he had the same problem with a TR and replaced it FOC as it was within the 12 months boo hooooo!!! (Faulty seals he said)
Ah well the garage is in England where i bought the car and I'm in Ireland...
PS maybe i should put a sponge on top of the exhaust guard until the next service ha ha

Can dripping oil get sucked into your alternator & ruin the brushes & slip rings?

It can if you've got the alternator with just a flat disc shaped plate on the back(been there). If your alternator has the casting with a orange flex air intake tube you should be OK.

Good point I will have to check that out thanks!
I went from leaving it til the next belt service (Year and a half ) to doing it in 2 weeks time, all in one day!
Think its best to do it now!!!
