Cam timing can't figure out what's going on

    So doing the Cam belts and have needed to resest the cam timing as one turned on me so i now notice the marks on the rear of the Cam shaft don't line up when no1 cyl (front right) is on tdc is 90 degrees to far forward. All cams. When try and turn the cams to the correct spot the valves interfere with the pistons. Not unless the marks are for when no 5 (rear right) is on tdc

    I've timed it to where was previously (90° out) and runs fine. So I have no idea.

    How are you numbering the cylinders ??
    #1 and #5 are not both on the right side !

    If the engine is operational, one great way to fix the Exhaust cams is by looking at OBD data.
    If your OBD on both Exhaust cam sides is 657, you are spot on !!

    For intake cams, long story....

    Well I have found that cam timing is out still as have a fault code 1324

    Looks like it's time to pull the rocker covers and check what's going on.

    So annoying. Definitely a learning exercise.
