What finally tilted the table toward the 997S?

I've been trying to decide between a Gransport Spyder, SL550, 997-4S, or GS450h (the hybrid Lexus is so that "I'll know what it feels like to drive when I'm dead", as per one British reviewer).

    Nice color choices, BTW!

I've always been a Porsche fan at heart.... The 997S gets the 911 back to it's roots... pure grunt... quirkly handling... awesome sound.

The Gransport really peaked my interest.... but somehow I just couldn't defect... maybe next time... I was also hesitant about getting one now, and then finding that the next version is so much better....

This S coupe is gorgeous and sounds mean when you step on the throttle in sport mode... A great car. The built quality is top notch.

Congrats! I would had still preferred the GS. Best bargain in town with the ferrari drivetrain.

Beautiful 997! You probably made the better choice since your Porsche will still be worth more than half the price 3-4 years down the road. :D

I would've said the Porsche is my second choice out of the list above, behind the Gransport. The other cars, while nice, just don't have that soul feeling. The SL and GS450h are just another run of the mill cars.

I like that "other" little yellow car in the garage. Make sure you keep those German bullies away from that fine English lass! :)

    I doubt it.

Still, it's a beautiful, well-engineered car. Congrats and enjoy!

Still an incredible car you picked up. I'm partial to the 996 styling myself, but the 997S is phenomenal any way you cut it.
