I travel to at least 10 races a year. Now that my gear is getting expensive I need a rain cover. Last year on 2 occasions I put the camera away missing some good shots. My lens are 77 dia. with the longest being the Nikon 70-200, 2.8. I see the Aquatech cover at $225 at B&H. Anybody own one or another brand. I see Gemm has some nice rain shots on his site from the LeMans series.

I don't have a rain cover, so I'm quite interested to see which one's good too. ;)

Mine got drenched in the downpour a few times but it's well sealed.

My bro work at a newspaper. Their photographers don't give a damn about rain cover. They take pics, and if they wreck the camera, they pull out the new one.
I was at a concert in rain, and I hid my camera, but the pressphotographer was shooting away like crazy while it was p****** down.:D

The best consensus I have found, even among pros, is plastic trash bags. Cut a hole in one end and rubber band around the end of the lens and small hole in the back for the viewfinder. Cheap, disposable, and work as well as some of the really expensive coverings. Plus most of my gear is weather sealed anyways. Doesn't look the best but does the trick.

Unless you are going into a downpour the $7 Op Tech Rainsleeve works just fine for me.
    Thanks
