Ha, ha, ha,.......LOL...... I bought that wolf hat in Iceland several years ago, and hardly have anyplace to wear it! It was perfect for this trip!!! It was great watching peoples expressions as we drove by with the ears and tongue waving in the wind as I drove!! :)

The roads look great, but it looked freezing! Why didn't you guys go when it was warmer?

It was chilly the first two days (low of 40ish and highs around 60), but it was sunny and warm the last day of driving. To me it is more important to have less traffic than warmer weather, so I prefer to go in early fall and early spring as opposed to summer. If you prefer a leisurely drive summer would be more appropriate. It is hard to make tracks on the good roads during the peak of the tourist season. For me it is all about the roads, so I can ignore the weather for the most part. The rain was problematic though.

I was limited to a great dining experience with the boys when they first arrived. We ate and drank some local spirits before sending the Bill and Fred off to terrorize the local wildlife. Great seeing you both and regretful I had to pull out of the Saturday drive. Bill, don;'t sweat the bird. There's more than enough Cardinals around. Glad everyone is home safely.

The dinner was great, and that Guiness stew was awesome!
One thing that it is funny is that the Lotus and the Ginetta are pretty close in size, but much smaller than just about anything else on the road. On Pistonheads, the Ginetta crowd prides itself on the very small nature of the cars. A G12 is a small mid engine Ginetta from the mid 60's. You can see how much smaller it is than the G20 I drive when you compare both of them to a Lotus Elise. The space in a G20 is pretty tight, I can't imagine fitting in a G12! G20 and Lotus in the top picture, G12 and Lotus in the bottom one.
