Camshaft belt on 348

Please see below photos from brand new Dayco just out of the box. Only 3-4 turns by hand.... Is this ok or this is some defective part? Old one has no such a tooth. The small black dots you can feel them very slightly with the nail. The small shiny dots cannot be felt but it seems like glass cords. I noticed this having finished all the job, bolted cam covers ready to put back on the car. What do you think?

Yes, agree. Already belt supplier accepted the defect and belt replacement has been arranged. It's my mistake that I got the belt since September 2024 and I opened the box just yesterday. So moral of the story, open any part's box upon receipt and check if the content is ok!

 

Yes indeed, it was very easy to slip my attention. Just I got 2more turns by hand double checking all timing marks. Initially I thought that someting was grabbed from some pulley but I realized that's the belt and and I freaked out!
