At any rate I already ran mine at 333kph (tacho) and think it has about 350 max in it.
373kph sounds huge imho, except on a dyno...

The F12 is specified with a top speed of "more than 340 kph" - 373 kph seems huge, even considering the error of the tachometer.
From some youtube videos it seems the (indicated) speed to rpm ratio in 7th gear is about 46 kph per 1,000 rpm (322 kph at 7,000 rpm) so 373 kph would correspond to about 8,100 rpm - the engine would therefore be able to sustain that speed, but whether it has enough power to reach that is a question (maybe on a long downward slope ;))

Could have been on a downhill but still a record perhaps? If love to be able to use my F12 on a long race track. I can’t drive that fast here in the states

I've been about 150 on track with the F12 and 161 on, let's say, a closed circuit. Incredible how stable the car is and how its still pulling hard. The engine is flat out screaming.

There's a couple downhill sections of de-restricted Autobahn where you might be able to achieve that given the right conditions (weather, traffic etc). Had mine up to 325kph (202mph) before I had to back out when we were last over there. Got to 295kph (183mph) really quickly but then the acceleration slows down considerably so you'd need a really good run at it.

I had a F12 a few years ago (now have a 812 SF). I live in NE Florida, and my swimming pool builder and I sat down at his drafting table with a large, rural, local road map, for me to find a road to take the F12 to my goal of 200 MPH. There is a road or two, west of Bunnell, Florida that will accommodate such a run. I went there for a few days to scope it out, twice a day, before I actually made my speed run. I considered deer crossings, (I'm from Philly, lots of deer in the suburbs) and tire blow outs, which would obviously literally kill me on this run.

I made the run, got it up to 195 MPH, the car was very stable (as the above poster said) , but then I ran out of road and didn't make 200! What a bummer!
I might try it again with the 812. I'm 68 years old, my kids are grown and successful, so.......why not try again.....It was quite the thrill with the F12!

YOLO. Go for it but be careful. Better to do a closed track event if possible

Now show us the GPS speed. I really doubt you can reach 373km/hr with an F12. This requires a LOT more power than going 345km/hr which is a speed some have been able to achieve with an F12. In fact, you would need 865HP, if the max speed with 740HP is 345km/hr.

In fact, I got it wrong. The power is proportional to the cube of the speed, not the square. So you would need 935hp.

Other than the Texas mile, and the Silver State speed run, is there a list of National events to go for
    top speed runs ?
