Hi guys tried to delete a repost. But now instead Iv included some pictures of a Barn Find that I have been working on. It had been standing in a field for many years I bought it for the exhaust system however when it arrived I decided to have a go (with a lot of help) in restoring it.
Its probably the cheapest Ferrari ever bought. Less than the cost of 4 tyres/tires if you know what I mean.

It runs smooth and true. Moss was growing out of the wings and two rats nests located in the engine bay. Iv given it a respray and I love the sunroof and silver cup holders in the interior. It was owned by a Sheik in London I have a copy of the original import documents and the dash was especially ordered.

Please dont praise me for the restoration the cars are 'Bullit Proof' at the end of the day. And with Douglass Valley breakers up the road from me it wasnt difficult or costly in getting the bits and pieces needed.

Sorry for poor quality of pictures its all I had on my laptop and they were taken at an old lock up I rented a few months back.

I love the cupholders! What a great use of the useless ashtray; who would smoke in their car other than an Italian! The original ash tray can be stored and replace for 'originality'!

I'm ashamed to admit it but there have been times when I've wished that there was a place to put my travel coffee mug when out in an early morning drive in the 400i!

The ash tray is a waste of space.

I'm with John. More than once, I given thought to some form of ashtray coversion so that I can have my cup of joe during an early morning ride. I seriously doubt any solution that I would have come up with would have looked as integrated and polished as the one in Fez's car, which I why I usually abandon the thought after a few minutes. Good on you, Fez, for saving another in the series...!

    Hi
Some more pictures of when it first arrived. Although it arrived in a sorry state I immediatley thought it was solid enough to save and when we fired the engine up after a couple of hours tinkering its fate was sealed. Pictures on arrival below.

Some answers to the questions above.

1 The colour is a rare one Nero Ferrari 2240 it has a very light metallic speckle. It is awesome - period.
    2. Its original colour as per the import documents but my painters tell me theres a red colour underneath however I believe that could be a guide coat. The painters were amazed at the thickness of the undercoat etc.
    3. Cars serial no. 054627
    4. Cup holders are hand made pewter and theres another two on the back arm rests either side!
    5. The ash trays are still there - in front of gear selector and usual place at rear (no radio though!!)
6 Other car is Bill Wymans (Rolling Stones. (Sold it earlier this year - dont ask why) Pic attached

Hope you enjoy the pictures - It stood outside for many years and the car body was thick with mould.

    Boy, that is sad looking.
Do you know the circumstances that led to this abandonment?

All I know was that the car was abandoned by the owner (sheik) left outside and the vendor I bought it off was selling it for scrap!! I only bought it for the two rear stainless exhaust pipes that where on the back seat! Some picks of it in its new home.
Pics of: Alfa Romeo GTV6( the firstroof of car - nearly finished project), Alfa Romeo Zagato (full restoration project), Jaguar 5.3 XJS TWR, F400i and Alfa 156 (prepping for track).
