Ummmm, I NEVER said anything about hating F or L cars. I plan on owning a F car in the near future. And I happen to love F cars. I'd take a F430 over a ZO6 anyday....BUT What bothers me is when guys like you think your cars are unbeatable. They aren't. And when you don't give credit where credit is due....
I gave credit. The Z06 is a great car in it's demographic. But the topic of the thread is can the F430 beat the Z06. The real-world answer is yes. Not by much, but yes it can. When my G can outrun the Z06, and the F430 is on par with the G (if not slightly faster), then it is safe to conclude that the Z06 will not beat the F430. Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's it.
Clearly, they aren't. I could run out and get a TT Viper that will annihilate F or L cars in the quarter mile. Or mod a Supra to hell. So what? Guys like you think that now that cars like the Z06 are as fast as F or L cars, you think that it is some triumphant event. Straight line speed is only 1 factor in many factors that equate to a world-class sports car. If speed was the only factor, there would be nobody buying F or L cars, and everyone would be buying Vipers and lining up to have them modified to 1000hp.
Again, you basing this on magazines and some "race" you had....please. Fact is the F430 might handle a little better, but tests show the brakes are very close. As far as acceleration, I have SEEN, and read all over the ZO6 boards about cars running mid 11's....with a few bolt-ons they are in low 11's and high 10's already....sorry to burst your bubble. Pretty damn good....gotta give credit where credit is due.

bluecam, Clax, is definitely a real owner, and a well respected one on this forum and several others; and hes owned more than one exotic. I think u should appreciate his advice rather than constantly question it. As for the Z, def a good value, but i dunno about bolt on components putting it in the high 10's in the quarter. a US production one prolly runs closer to a 12.0 in reality.
Reality, as in mags? I go by real owners, real drivers......there are 2 in the 10's already. Stockers in the mid 11's.

TRUE? TRUE? Here you go again. CGT 7:32 (actaul production car) Z06 7:43 (pre-production TEST car, NOT production car) That Z06 which was 11 seconds slower was NOT EVEN a production car. The GM people on-site have verified this, stating that the particular car had non-production suspension, and slightly revised powertrain. FACT. AND still 11 seconds slower. WTF is wrong with you? Can't you be objective?
