Finally I finished this resin kit. The kit itself runs for about $ 175. It isn't really difficult to assemble, but the instructions are very, very basic. Anyway, hope you guys like it.

Since I finished my Ferrari Racing perfume at the same time, I figured it would make for a nice accesory to the shoot.

Nice! Does the rear bodywork open to show the engine?

No it doesn't the red body is one piece. I was actually thinking about taking pictures before I mounted it on the chassis because the engine is fairly detailed.

Nicely done! Profil24, the model company who makes the 712 model kit in 18th scale you just built, has also just recently put out the Ferrari 312PB 1973LM longtail in 18th scale. Its very similar in detail as the 712. Cool stuff.

    WOW!!!
You've done a great job with this kit. I really love it.
A very good paint job, i see.
For me, the paint job it's the most difficult part of these kind of kits, but you've done a really good job.
    Congratulations Andreas!!!!

    Thanks my friend.

Actually spray painting by itself I don't consider really difficult. The tricky part comes in when you have to fix little mistakes of other colored paint or glue. Doing that without destroying the overall paint job, that's the really difficult part I think.

What also made this model a bit easier than others: No glass for windows or head lights, well almost none. I'm still having tons of difficulties with glueing clear plastic parts without making them ugly.

A little late did I remember, that I actually met the real car last year at Goodwood. So I went to my foto archive and sure enough there it was. Should have thought about that before painting it...
