It was all over e-bay. It is not THAT rare, but I guess it is "rarer" than the regular Enzo by BBR. IMO @$600 it is just short of a rip off.

You know, it totally pisses me off what retailers are doing. Mainly here in the US. Mattel offers their (crappy) models at the same price no matter of the color or in F1 case the drivers. The retailers buy them at the same price, yet they price them different based on what they believe would sell better. Same goes for this BBR. I believe the black Enzo from BBR is made in lesser numbers, but it retails for a lot less just because every one expects that "the MS edition" would be a hot item. It makes me sick. Just like the price premium on the Raikonen F2007 over Massas, since he won the championship.
The other thing that makes me furious is the crap that people like Replicarz pull. I know they became sponsors here not too long ago but I still stand by what I have to say.
After them missing me on my preorder on the chrome "six time world champion" MS HW edition, I found out that year after year that it is next to impossible to find one. I WAS a member of their buyers club, yet this model was never offered to me or other members. We just saw it being auctioned on e-bay by Replicarz themselves and selling it for something like 4 times the price. Yet they are one of the companies trying to shut down people on e-bay selling die cast. Hippocrates! And if they succeed we are all ending up paying crazy money for crap (HW) and we would never have a base for comparison.

going with luckys rant, i stopped buying 1/18s when i was around 13 and started again this year and i have noticed that it is next to impossible to find 1/18s in store. Whenever I am in target I always look and never see anything, even my Costco doesn't have them anymore, where are people getting them from?

Just go to your small local modelcar store who is HW or BBR dealer. He isn't in the know about odd prices. I saw this MS BBR for far less than 300 euros in a store in Zwolle, Holland before I knew it was something special... Still too much money for me! Build your own special models! It's fun and nobody has one too!

    Kind regards,
    Wouter Bekker

    hi
i too agree that $600 is way to much to pay for bbr 1/18th enzo, you can buy them
for about 200 euro, also they are not rare,in germany they are 2/3 model shops that discount them
after a few weeks if they dont sell,so i would not pay big bucks for this car

The MS version was done exclusively for Kyosho Japan, that is why people are overcharging for them. The Yellow, Black and Red versions were standard. Even distributors have to buy from kyosho so dealers have to pay double mark up.

Huh? Doesn't Kyosho make their own Enzo? What does BBR just modify them into Shumi's?

Kyosho makes it in 1:12 and I believe in 1:43. BBR changed the color of the car to procar red and the color of the wheels. The real schumi car is not Rosso Scuderia, it is a one of a kind paint process.

So if I understand this right, BBR takes Kyosho Enzos and just repaints them that special color?
Why can't Kyosho do it, they are a larger company then BBR? Is that "special" paint only avaliable to BBR due to their
    great relationship with Ferrari?

    Thanks!

No this model is made for the company KYOSHO JAPAN. The model is produced by BBR EXCLUSIVE MODELS. KYOSHO JAPAN is a distributor for 1:18th scale BBR EXCLUSIVE MODELS in japan. KYOSHO JAPAN is a bigger company but does not have license to do ferrari. It is a sublicense of Mattel.

Oh, so Kyosho Japan is not the company that makes the models, they are just a distributor who I assume is directly related to the Kyosho that makes the models?

So what does the packaging for this Enzo say, BBR I assume?

    Sorry for all the questions....

Kyosho and Kyosho Japan are the same company more or less. The boxes say BBR on them just like all of the other boxes. the side of the box has a kyosho logo. No problem, we saw the model when we went to italy to meet with BBR.

    Got ya, thanks.

Just seems like Kyosho should have made a 1:18 Enzo to go with their 1:43 and 1:12 ones LOL. Guess it wouldn't have been worth it for such a small run if their distribution division has a connection with BBR.

I guess Kyosho Japan is a pretty big model distributor. Between that business and their other divisions own model business they must have a good portion of the market in their hands!
