    We're currently building home and separate garage, so I'm not of particular help. However I DID pick up a copy of a book, "Great Garages, Sheds and Outdoor Buildings." Soft cover $10 published by Home Planners, LLC. Has everything from one-car built ins to multi car separates. From B&N or Borders, can't remember. In the home construction or design area obviously. It is full of plans and renditions - may be helpful to you..good luck

    The problem is that you will want to have two roof planes that will form a flat valley unless you turn the ridge towards the rear of the garage addition and overframe the original house roof. I am an architect in Florida and can sketch out the roof lines if you want to fax me what you are thinking. PM me if you want more info.
