This car was displayed at Pebble Beach, (not on the fairway), and possibly ran at Laguna Seca in 1991(?). As it provided the inspiration for a painting, I'd really appeciate knowing what model it is. Can anyone provide a definitive identification? Thanks in advance for any assistance offered.

Looks to me like one of the most beautiful racing cars ever made the lovely Maserati 300S.
Perhaps the best driving and best handling of all the company's 2 seat sports cars.
    Ciao,

Thanks. Thought it might be a 300S but wanted the opinion of someone more knowledgeable.

I don't think the 450S had 3 side draft Webers!

According to Orsini and Agari's book 'MASERATI', the 450 had a DOHC 90 degree, V-8 engine. This car has a straight 6 with side drafts, as pointed out by 3500 GT. The car in question appears to be like that pictured on page 616 of the aforementioned book - even down to the semi-conical mirror housing. I am still leaning toward a 300S but would like to hear from anyone who actually knows this car.
