Can anyone tell me what these wires are for?

Without more pics hard to tell. I'm guessing something related to stereo pre wiring, so perhaps door speakers that side, although second thoughts they go through the door connector so perhaps not. Maybe stereo antennae amplifier?

 

That was my first though as well but not the right color for speaker wiring and besides, the OE stereo wires are wrapped in cloth tape instead of encased in a PVC jacket. No antenna amp in the 348 (at least AFAIK), although that would make some sense. Agree that better pics would help-- I have my interior partially disassembled for a stereo install and could look for those wires if I had a better idea where they were originally routed.

Cant help you other than trace them to where they end up then figure it out from there.

 

I have similar in my car. In my case they are linked from the alarm behind the centre console to the window switch allowing an open window to shut remotely by the system when the alarm is set. They pass through the rubber door connector boot.. Maybe the same.

 

There is a pair of factory wires on my car that Head to the rear and terminate into a circular widget, just inside the rear by the courtesy lamp housing, for a antennae pre amp or suchlike. But I don't think the wires I'm talking about head up by the vent, I'm recalling they go down and along the side of the footwell toward the rear.

Do they lead to the door lock solenoids?

 

Strange. I'd guess you're correct. Pretty janky wiring, no matter what it's feeding.
