I have a 96 F355 with the led light staying on. I have open up the siren and removed the battery, but I can't find a replacement. I have seen the subject discussed before but a search has not yielded and solution.
    Thanks,
    Eric

There are 2 different kinds of batteries in the alarms. Can you post a picture of which you you have?

I took the battery to Battery outfitters, so I don't have it to take a picture. It was wrapped in red heat shrink and looked like 6 large watch batteries stacked together. The guy at battery outfitters has the batteries but is not sure he can put them together.
    Thanks,
    Eric

There is definitely an old thread somewhere with picture replacement which shows both types and includes sources - try a search on 'alarm siren battery'

Not sure where you can get the correct one but I would look for one that is simply the correct voltage and current capacity. Then mount it externally from the siren box. This way you have no concerns about having to get just the right size and shape as the original but more importantly if/when it leaks it will not ruin the siren (corrosion on the printed circuit board). This has happened to many cars including mine (96 F355).

I remember reading the thread about replacement, but I could not find it under the search option. If anyone remembers it can you please post a link.
    Thanks,
    Eric

Thanks for the link, but I had already emailed him. He responded that he had retired and no longer had the batteries.

Thanks for the info. I will check into that, that sounds better than trying to seal my box back up.
    Thanks,
    Eric
