Can Apple CarPlay be added to a CPO GTC4Lusso V12?

Nada. No firmware update that I know of. They haven’t been very responsive to my emails.

 

Hi I am thinking of buying a 2019 GTC4Lusso T in the UK but it doesnt have Apple Car Play and I wondered if you can advise what and where you had your Apple Car Play fitted? Thanks IM

 

I've just bought a Lusso without Carplay and the main dealer is going to fit it. There is a Ferrari part and of course Ferrari labour, but in reality, paying the extra will keep the value when it's time to sell it back.

 

Hello - curious about how this works as well. Can you switch back and forth between the Carplay and the native UI screen? Does it work only for Carplay, or does it perform for Android Auto as well? There is a reported KKS Carplay/Android version that lets you switch between screens... your comment makes me wonder whether all affect ability to still have driver's camera access.

 

I sold the car, but you could easily switch between screens. I have an iPhone so no idea on the Android. Front camera wouldn't work with the unit installed and they never delivered any firmware upgrade. I probably would not do it again as I am not a CarPlay junkie to warrant losing the functionality of the front camera.

 

Did they install the carplay port into the center armrest or did you already have it?

I just bought a Lusso that didn't have Carplay as a factory option but there is a carplay port in the center armrest. Plugging it in does nothing but charge so trying to troubleshoot or see if maybe previous owner got it retrofitted and dealer adds the carplay port.
