Every time I get into the f12, I can't get over how long the hood is. I would love to add front camera so I can park behind the pesky cement parking blocks stress-free. can this be done?

Technically? Yes. Elegantly? You’d have to get creative.

I don't know how you park the thing without a camera. Even then its stressful. Without its a matter of time before you hit something I would think. Ask the dealer if you can add the option back. Likely not (needs button on dash, camera, wiring, and software) but worth a try. Good luck.

I can't imagine how it would be done elegantly, but I know there are bluetooth cameras that you would wire into the 12V and then connect to your phone to look at through your phone.

Yes, I added front and rear cameras to mine. It displays just like the OEM camera, so nothing obtrusive. A module had to be sent out to be programmed. It wasn’t cheap (forget the price, but thinking it was $3-4k).

Can you give details of this install? Like what module, etc?? And some pics of your car?? I'd love to have front and rear cameras on my F12 as well. And I want it looking stock...

    Thanks

Talked with my dealer. Ferrari does offer front facing camera kit for $5500 + tax. Book install time is over 30 hours. You do the math.

For the rest of us mortals, I found 2 potential options:
    1. buy Ferrari factory front facing camera bracket and housing (p/n 83718900, 89190600, 85074500, 89211900) for less than $100 USD shipped. Find wireless camera that will fit the housing, power it with any ignition power wire (or battery). View it with your phone.
    2. buy Ferrari factory front facing camera kit (above p/n + 341977) for around $1400 total. Then pay these guys $2500 to get your cluster modified to receive the front video signal: https://navtv.com/products/NTV-MOD029/ferrari-458-cluster-modification-service.pdf

While #2 is at least more reasonable in cost, I don't like paying sucker prices as they (navtv) offer similar service for other platforms for just a few hundred dollars, and I can't find much on the company other than few forum posts from years ago. But I find $4,000 to add a front facing camera with oem functionality slightly less insane.

I'll be going with route #1 or better yet, I'll just put the money I saved into an account so when I crack another front spoiler, it'll come out from that account. I can destroy a whole truck load of them before surpassing the insurance/camera cost. I'm a slow learner, but I like my chances.

    Thanks for the replies.
