Hi cos of work i will be living in singapore every month for about a week. I have just purchased a new 430 so i wanted to import my 360 which will be spare in uk. Can u guys advice me are there any impilcations on importing the car. I am aware of the duty but i was more concerned of the noise issue. I have a full tubi exhaust system which is running on straight pipes without the cats. Also can i get round the issue when registering the car have a standard exhaust on the car and then replace it with the tubi. Also how is the police over here on speeding policies. Are they strict or do they give u warning and let you off. How many ferraris are there in singapore??? All the info is appreciated Ciao
Hi Raj, you can go www.onemotoring.com.sg all the reulations are there to import a car in. Hope the site helps. Regards
Rick, Seem to recall a thread in the UK section saying BAD 60Y was on a Yellow Range Rover (the very car out of the film Layer Cake, if you've seen that). IIRC, I think Raj has said his daily runner, a 360, has BAD 130Y on it. Jamie
You may in addition to reading the OneMotoring website for the regulations either get in touch with the Automobile Association (AA) or the local Ferrari Agent, Hong Seh Motors to get assistance. There are more than 200 Ferraris in Singapore including some really exotic versions. The Police have become very strict in enforcement but like everywhere else if you are not doing anything 'too stupid' you can still drive your Horse with pleasure. A favourite for drivers here is to go across to neighbouring Malaysian to use their (toll) highways.
its not really worth binging in Used cars into singapore. The additional taxes you hae to pay for the used cars are too high. Easier to sell the uk car off and buy a used one in SIngapore. \ The uk prices of the 360 should still be good.
