    not sure if this was discussed earlier..just wanted to know if schumi is entitled to buy cars apart from ferrari, fiat and mascerati...i mean, wat if he wanted a dodge, or a lambo..or even a porsh? in his contract, is he entitled to buy a car like those?

    i remember, if i can recall properly, mika wanted to buy a ferrari when he was at mclaren, somethin ron wasn't impressed about

    Dunno about Schumi, but Mika would be pretty limited if he needed a McLaren road car. F1 or SLR for groceries?

    I dont know if he is able to buy other cars, but what a nice problem to have: only allowed to drive Ferraris.

    as far as i remember he owns an RS6 and drives it to skiing.

    He at one point had a bugatti. this was when he was with benneton though, i'm sure he can drive whatever he wants. Maybe not a lambo though

    I don't see why he would be limited to only Ferraris. Even though they're much more drivable and practical than they were years ago, they still aren't the best choice in a variety of situations (like going skiing as mentioned above).
    If he can only buy Ferraris, I'll feel so bad for the poor guy.

    I believe that his contact states that he can only drive Ferraris in compatition (sp).

    Yeah, must be terrible!

    I know he owns a couple of mercs that he uses as a daily driver when at home in Switzerland. He tends to drive a Maserati when in Italy.

    this year at the USGP he came in driving a Chrysler 300m ... not that he owns one or anything .... just an example ...i dont think ferrari cares if he buys a diff road car. maybe they have a clause preventing him from buying any car that is in competetion with ferrari ..such as a lambo .... dont know

    on a side note ...i read somewhere that flavio briatorre ....smokes marlboro lights .....but puts them in a mild seven box ..... i guess they didnt want him to be seen with marlboro

    He used to own the old Porsche built Benz E500, as it was the choice of many F1 drivers back in the day.

    If he had such a limitation on his contract it would be limited to FIAT cars .

    He d be able to buy Fiats, Lancias , Alfas , Masers and Fs.

    But i doubt he has such a clause on his contract.
