I live in Northern Virginia and would like someone to do a basic check out of a mid-80's Maserati for me in the next day or two. Please email me at [email protected] if you can. I will pay you for your time.

    TIA

Where abouts in Mandeville? Is it the rootbeer colored QP? There are a few of us over here who might be able to swing by if the timing works and it wouldn't cost you anything.

    Thank you for your offer.

Yes, that's the car. Owner also has 400A and 308GT4, and is an FChatter too. He sounds legit about the QP III. Do you know much about the car, or the owner?

I got an offer to check it from Chad, about 40 miles away, who enjoys checking these things out.

I'll be in touch by PM if I decide to take you up on your offer.

Dont know anything about it, but it must run well. That car and I both got on the Mandeville Exit and got off the next exit on i12. It was early morning and I was really booking it in the 996tt, he was just cruising along with me.

    Max,

Got a big smile when I read that. I will be buying this car, pending the inspection tomorrow AM. I don't expect any surprises. I spoke at length with the owner, Dave, and he knows cars, and I got a good vibe from him.

This '82 QP III will be replacing (upgrade) a similar one I bought a couple of years ago. They drive surprisingly well for a big car of that vintage. This Root beer one, being de-smogged and having Stebro and Ansa exhaust components, and 17" 55 series in place of original 15" 70 series tires, should be even better.

    Nice!

Congrats on the pending purchase. I hate to see a car leave the area but glad to hear it is going to an FChatter.
