Can someone get me some info on a 348 VIN please?

According to "Handbuch der Ferrari Seriennummer" by Matthias Urban it's a '91 348 ts red/tan LHD US-version.

 

The tenth digit is an "N" which indicates a 1992 model year; it could have had a 1991 build date, but it is not a 1991 model year 348. Also, the serial number is higher than on my 1992 348 and mine has a build date of 10/1991.

 

If by CH you mean a 348 that was converted by the Challenge Kit to race in the Challenge Series, those come from all the years (89-94). If you mean what is commonly called the "Factory Challenge", those are only in 1994. As to SS, they started in the 93 model year.

Yes, the SS started in 1992.
