    Murciélago means bat and was the name of one famous bull (bullfighting history)
    I believe that Gallardo was the name of either a breeder or a matador. not 100% sure

    Murcielago = Bat
    Gallardo = 1. brave cock, (also a popular last name in all spanish speaking countries)

    both are the names of very aggresive bulls and breeds.

    I recall Jeremy Clarkson saying that a Murcielago was "a bull that proved to be so brave in the arena, that after its years of fighting were over, they wouldnt kill it".

    No, I'm pretty sure "Diablo" is the Devil in Spanish. Of course, this is the literal meaning, I don't know if there's any other connotation in bullfighting. :)

    I've always thought the Diablo was the coolest named car...ever !

    Literal meaning means nothing. All Lambo cares about is the bullfighting family.

    Diablo was a "BADAZZZ BULL". It of course also means devil, which was why the BADAZZ BULL was named Diablo.

    The Gallardo takes its name from a famous fighting bull breed. Selected since the 18th century by bull breeder Francisco Gallardo and then incorporated by Don Antonio Miura. The bull were either black or grey, the Gallardo bulls were renowned by their power and aggresiveness until the last third of the "Corrida".
    The Murcielago was the name of a fighting bull that was a mean bad ass, "Lagartijo" means lizard, this was the nickname of the matador who in respect to this bull didn't killed him, later Murcielago became a breeding bull.
