I'm going to try and refinish the hinge guards as well as the rear door moldings, and was wondering what the exact paint match is....and don't say black! ;) It may be anodized, but it's flaked in a few spots, and I didn't think anodizing did that.

It seems like a satin finish, but was wondering if anyone has an exact PPG code and finish, or is there something that comes out a can that matches the original factory finish perfectly.

I believe they are anodized, if they are flaking someone has painted them, take a little paint stripper and remove the old flaking paint.

I've been told by Newman as well that they're anodized.

I've found a local shop here that does aluminum anodizing, but after the 'local shop' fiasco with letting the 'good ole boys' pull my windshield, I'm a bit leery. ;)

I have some Eastwood company under hood satin black one step paint that I've tested on some other old car parts, and it matches the finish exactly. I'll try taking the pieces down to bare metal and painting them. If they aren't a perfect match I'll get them re-anodized.
