    That's interesting how the law works in England. It sounds like your insurance company is on the hook and it wasn't even their insured's fault.

    Laws vary by state here. In Massachusetts if that happened to you, your insurance company would pay you, but you would subrogate your rights to your insurance company and they would collect from the other driver's insurance company.

    So how about this theory…The Lusso owners manual indicates that if there is an over temp with the PTU the system disengages the PTU until the temp drops. Could we simply tie in to the temp sensor on the PTU and switch the temp sensor state to trick the system into NOT using the PTU for all wheel drive?
