Yes I have twin turbos and a supercharger on mine, it’s 12oohp to the rear tires on the stock block. It’s a real rocket ship!

Pretty Sure if someone wanted to make 1000 hp on a 458 engine they would have to make major improvements.

 

Because someone has the cash to buy a Ferrari doesn't mean they are versed in the facts of what one has to do in trying to get more HP .

Let's try and answer the question.

To make the block handle 1000hp, I think is more than possible. The block is built for high performance, high cylinder pressure and rigidity.

What determines the 1000 hp durability in a case like this, has a lot more to do with the whole combination rather than the block.

So to answer your question. Yes. The bare block is capable of 1000 hp.
