I am by no means an avid sports gambler, but I did put $1K to play with in an account around early january. Ive been a huge sports fan for almost 25 years,so I finally decided to see if my knowledge would payoff. I prefer straight up scenarios and avoid spreads, I never saw it as gambling at all I lost a little here an there but overall I'm up to $11700 so my 1170% definately kicked my stock portfolio in the ass....percentage wise. So anyways I'm always looking for more picks with some insider knowledge and id be willing to post mine. I personally now for the past month go with 1 game a day and bet on both teams to hedge but obviously more on the team i feel will win....its more investing than gambling. Well it turned out to be waay fun when you actually win! All sports are welcome I mainly have a good knowledge of NBA,NCAA BBall, and UEFA Cup soccer....all other sports would be welcome to me as potential "investments"

    my pick for wed

Denver @ Seattle - Denver, straight up 1.41, basically 41% return on your money if they win

Denver bc they just had a heartbreaking loss at home to detroit and they have lost 3 straight, but they are sitll fighting tooth and nail for that last playoff spot out west so I cant see them losing a 4th in a row to seattle who has 15 wins not if AI and melo step their games up the way stars should. The sonics just traded away their only 2 semi decent players outside of durant (wally and delonte) so I really don't see any firepower, dont be fooled by the 99 pts it vs GS not that Denver is any better but they have the reigning defensive player of the year Marcus Camby and Iverson avgs 2 steals per game. Denvers problem is perimeter D w/ melo being slowfooted but seattle hit NO 3 pointers tonight in the GS game.

If you do a 2 team parlay, Id pick Denver and Toronto it pays 1.71 - 71%

Toronto is playing at home vs minnesota who beat the jazz tonight despite only having 12 win was playing at home and they play tough at home recently...losing to San Antonio by 1 at home last week, but on the road they are 2-23, classic signs of a young team, just unable to win on the road but play big at home with the fans behind them. I really dont see them pulling it out because toronto is in the race for homecourt and wont let an easy game go. Stand Alone this game pay 1.23 - 23%

If any of this violates fchat terms feel free to close the thread and i apologize.

I know absolutely nothing about gambling. However, with Yao out for the season, if the Rockets keep this winning streak going without him I would bet on the Rockets.

my parents just left for vegas yesterday, so i handed him a 20 to put down on the cardinals winning the nl central. got a call from him today, the odds are 10-1, but i don't know how the news of scott spiezio will affect this. probably won't change the odds at all. so i'm a lock to win 200 bucks, :D
