Yes you can, they do it in car shows alot. I also saw my neighbor driving around once with the driver door up for some reason...so yeah, you can.

Rob Feretti drove down the street with the door up in a 40th Anniversary Murcielago.

Why does the e-gear not let you but the 6-speed does?

I can drive with the doors up in my 2001 Diablo 6.0. Not sure why you'd want to, but you can. I wouldn't want all that wind and weight on the doors gas shocks though.

Sort of reminds me of the time that I went on a long hike during the hot summer. I carried an old car door with me as I walked. I passed a guy on the side of the road. He asked me why I was carrying the door. I told him that if it got TOO hot, I could always roll down the window!

I was test driving a Countach once and it must have been one of the hottest days of the summer. Of course the A/C didn't work in this car, so during the road test I would open the door and putt around if traffic was in the way. Most people probbably thought I was showing off but man was I sweating!!

I was always under the impression that "Door up - stick your head out the opening" was the only way to successfully back up a Countach or Diablo without hitting anything. hehehe!

with the doors up you don't have access to the side view mirrors, then you have to rely on the rear camera and talk about "objects are closer then they appear". don't trust the camera

I have drove with the doors up on both the Coutach and the Diablo but wouldnt reccomend anything more than 10 mph plus they make funny "creaking" noises if you start turning the wheel when parking etc

....also, be carefull not to go under low barriers when they are up, damaging! :-/
