The 308's interior is definitely cooler than the 328. For an '80s car, the 328's interior is quite appealing and I find it perfectly servicable today. The 308's interior makes me feel like Steve McQueen.
$39k for a QV better have complete recent records. The dealer should give you a 90 day guarantee on it too since they did a $7k service and should have made sure everything was done that needed it. If they aren't comfortable the car will run for 90 days, why should you be? You can buy a beautiful pig in a poke QV for a lot less than $39k, and fix it up yourself and have $39k in it, but also you'll know it's a good car and you'll have the receipts! Ken
I still think the red one there is top notch and the service records were from day one with the best presentation i've ever seen. I know that people are paying 45k for some cars but there are always deals out there at lower prices. A less expensive car may need work but a $45k one can just as easily need unexpected work too.
I had an 85 QV with a full history and tons of recent work (including major service by FoW) get bought out from under me at $34K (I insisted on a PPI and the other buyer simply showed up with a bag of cash). I happy now, because I'm better off with a 328, but it gave me a feeling for where the market was.
