This will sort the men from the boys!
First guess the item then tell me where i can obtain a new one from.
Reason being, mine has cracked and superglue holds it for only a short while.

Yes, it is the turn signal canceling disc from the column switch assembly. I am guessing that it is broken in the very thin area of the arc that has the two canceling lugs on it.

There is a gentleman in the USA that rebuilds these switch assemblies and he repairs the crack and reinforces the area with a thin strip of stainless. He really does do a great job.

I think that it would be hard to find a new part, but many shops or parts suppliers save old parts like this and you might find someone with an assembly that you could get the disc from. Be a little careful as there are many of these switches that look very similar but have detail variations in the parts.

It may have cracked because someone, a long, long time ago, removed the column assembly, and when replacing it they did not coordinate the plastic part shown with recesses in the steering wheel hub that are designed to receive the plastic tabs. When tightening the steering wheel it would have crushed (bent) the plastic ring. The turn signal will still work.

Graham - Smart people learn from their own mistakes. Really smart people learn from other's mistakes. I'm only smart.
