    I don't know whether or not it may have been used on a Ferrari at some point, but it does look an awful lot like the mirrors that British Leyland used on the US-market Triumph TR6. Is it possible that (a Triumph part) got mixed in with your F-car parts?

    Yea, the mirror itself is pretty standard but the base is unusual.
